Zera Projects has been engaged to undertake a refurbishment of an existing property in Nedlands, focusing on resolving rising damp issues within a previously constructed wine room.
The project involved refurbishment works to a family residence while the occupants remained living in the home for the duration of the build. Zera Projects was engaged for its experience in the design and construction of wine cellars, following issues with the existing wine storage, including rising damp and defects stemming from the original construction.
Zera Projects managed the works through careful sequencing and site controls to allow the family to remain in the home throughout construction. Key works included selective demolition, detailed design and construction of a new insulated wine cellar, remediation of rising damp, and delivery of a new scullery and external works, all coordinated within an occupied residence.
