Golden Bakery – Packaging Facility & Cold Storage Upgrade

The bakery retail outlet was required to remain operational during all opening hours, with access maintained between the shop and the operational kitchen. The works were required to be delivered within a live, ageing building, necessitating staged construction, temporary protection and access arrangements, and out-of-hours works to minimise disruption to trading.

Zera Projects sequenced the works to maintain trading during normal operating hours while preserving access between the shop outlet and the main production kitchen. Planned shutdowns were coordinated around operational requirements, and unforeseen latent defects identified during construction were managed without disrupting day-to-day operations.

The client continued to trade throughout the build with minimal downtime to operations. Re-use of existing services infrastructure where possible reduced delivery time, while the upgraded packaging and cold storage areas increased wholesale production and storage capacity, allowing the client to maximise use of the available space.
