ZERA is delivering the design and construct conversion of a 1,607m² warehouse at 7-9 Fore Street, Northbridge, into a long-term cold storage facility. The scope spans full project management of approvals, infrastructure upgrades, construction works, and the cold storage and refrigeration fit-out, delivered across two staged phases to suit the client’s operational timeline and live staging.
The project is being delivered in two stages to bring cold storage capacity online progressively: Stage 1 comprises 100m² of cool room and freezer room storage, with Stage 2 adding a further 450m² of freezer room storage. Alongside the storage build, the works include a full office fit-out and infrastructure upgrades across power, hydraulic, and mechanical services to support the converted facility.
ZERA is managing the full delivery pathway – coordinating statutory approvals, sequencing infrastructure upgrades against construction works, and integrating the cold storage and refrigeration trade package into the build program. Cold storage rooms and refrigeration are being delivered by Lazco, working alongside ZERA’s construction team.
Project in progress; Stage 1 delivery is underway, bringing the first cool room and freezer capacity online ahead of Stage 2’s larger freezer expansion, allowing the client to partially use the facility.
